Pebble announced late yesterday that its new Pebble appstore will launch on Monday, February 3 at 1000 PT (1300 ET). The company is using the weekend to put “the final touches” on it prior to its debut in a couple of days. It will offer a curated selection of apps in categories such as Daily, Remotes, Games, Notifications, Tools & Utilities, Fitness, and Watchfaces.

More than 500 apps and faces to choose from will be available on the first day. Pebble also promises that more will follow quickly.
The Pebble app will also be updated with a new Locker feature. Found under the “My Pebble” menu on the app, it will let users easily swap between up to eight watch apps stored on their Pebble.
Needless to say, the Pebble appstore will support both the original Pebble and the new Pebble Steel. The iOS version is slated to launch first with the Android version to follow “very, very soon” according to Pebble spokesperson Myriam Joire.
