For better or worse, the evidence is mounting that HTC will indeed name its HTC One successor The all new HTC One. Following his first leak about the new name earlier this month, the usually reliable @evleaks is back with further evidence: The new smartphone’s logo.
The logo landed on the same day that new pictures leaked as well. As one would expect from leaked pictures, they are blurry but do show the same device as we have already seen on leaked press renders.
According to HardForum user Ron FTL who posted the pictures:
“Played with one today. Omg. My friend has an evaluation model from HTC. I played with it quite a bit today. Software was still really buggy, Zoe didn’t work, keyboard autocorrect didn’t work and few other streams FC’d like Youtube and stuff but omfg this phone is fast. Faster than my Google Edition S4. Front camera is incredible. 4-megapixel front-facing camera. Was really crisp. Didn’t get a chance to try out the dual rear camera but it was amazing. Thinner than the 2013 One and taller. I’m going to try and play with it a bit more, but I’m already sold on it.”
Not exactly a ringing endorsement (how can the rear camera be amazing if they did not try it ou?) but it does again hint that the All New HTC One could be a nice upgrade over the HTC One.
HTC will announce the HTC One at a press event that will take place simultaneously in London and New York on March 25.
