New details emerge about Windows Phone 8 Samsung SM-W750V

UAProf for Samsung SM-W750VWe first learned about the Samsung SM-W750V back in December when it was revealed by a shipment notification. Little was known about the device at the time except that it would sport a 5-inch display and might be headed to Verizon. This smartphone has now popped up on Samsung’s own site in the form of a UAProf file and made an appearance at the Bluetooth SIG, giving us a few more details. If nothing else, these support that it appears to be the next Samsung Windows Phone 8 device.

According to the UAProf file, the Samsung SM-W750V will sport a Full HD (1080×1920) display and LTE connectivity. While the operating system is not identified, the fact that the browser is identified as Microsoft Internet Explorer 10.0 is a good sign that it will indeed be Windows Phone 8.

The Bluetooth SIG entry reveals little else in terms of specifications but shows the “Geographic Availability” of the SM-W750V as North America. This supports an earlier report that it is headed to Verizon Wireless.

There is no word yet on when Samsung could announce the SM-W750V. It also remains to be seen if it will be a Verizon Wireless exclusive or if we will see it carried by other carriers.
