Mysterious HTC 0P9O110 gets FCC approval

HTC 0P9O110 FCC labelA mysterious new HTC device has popped up on the FCC’s certification website. Identified only as the HTC 0P9O110, very little is known about it for now.

Going through a number of the documents available, it’s clear that the HTC 0PO9110 is a smartphone. It comes with LTE/HSPA/GPRS/EDGE connectivity as well as 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 LE. It will also have both front and rear cameras. Unfortunately, most of the documents that could give us more information are being withheld from public disclosure for 180 days.

An HTC device with a very similar model number, the 0P9O00000, has also received its Wi-Fi certification. This second document confirms that it is an Android smartphone of some kind and that it comes with single-band 802.11 b/g/n connectivity.

Perhaps more interesting is the 0P9Cxxxxx device. Listed with five different models, the 0P9C20000, 0P9C21000, 0P9C23000, 0P9C30000, 0P9C51000, 0P9C70000, it has been certified for dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi.

Rest assured that we’ll keep our eyes and ears open to see if we can find out more about the HTC 0P9xxxxxx.

With FCC documents being withheld for 180 days, it may well be that we will not see the HTC 0P9O110 (and its siblings) until the latter part of the year. That gives us plenty of time for leaks and rumours!

Last year, the HTC One (M8) was spotted early as the 0P6Bxxxxx.
