Motorola is widely expected to unveil the Moto X+1 in the very near future (possibly along with the Moto 360 smartwatch). It has been the topic of rumours for a while now and the latest one has it getting benchmarked by Geekbench.
The site does not mention the Moto X+1 by name, identifying it only as the Motorola XT1097. That model number is very similar to one seen just a few days ago on a Verizon box. It does appear at this point that the different Moto X variants will bear XT109x model numbers.
The benchmarking data shows that the XT1097 is powered by a 2.46GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8974 processor. The clock speed suggests that the processor will be a Snapdragon 801 rather than the older Snapdragon 800 which does not clock as high. Also onboard are Google Android 4.4.4 KitKat and 2GB of RAM.
No other specifications are revealed but past rumours have suggested that the Moto X+1 will also come with a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080×1920) display, 32GB of onboard storage, a 12MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera and a 2,900mAh battery. It may also have a microSD card slot.
Along with these specifications, it will be interesting to see how Motorola follows up features like Touchless Control and Active Display on the software side.
