Moto Maxx not coming to Canada

Motorola Moto MaxxCanadians hoping to get their hands on the recently announced Moto Maxx got some bad news today. The impressive device, essentially a rebadged Verizon DROID Turbo, will not be coming to Canada. Motorola Canada today confirmed the news via Twitter in response to a question for a Twitter user:

  • Rear-facing camera: 21MP (in 4:3) or 15.5MP (in 16:9) AF with dual-LED flash

The Moto Maxx is launching today in Brazil and in mid-November in Mexico. Launches in additional Latin American countries will follow after. It remains to be seen if and when it will launch in other markets but it would appear that North America is not in the cards except as a Verizon exclusive.
