Motorola is holding its next press event on May 13. While Motorola has only hinted at a new entry-level smartphone, rumours have suggested that this new device could be the Moto E, an even more inexpensive smartphone than the Moto G. But Motorola has certainly confused matters with a number of mysterious device references cropping up on its website in recent days. We’ve seen the Moto X+1 pop up not just once but twice along with more mysterious devices identified as the Moto 4G, 4G Global and Moto 3G 4GB. Then the Moto E popped up today on Motorola Mexico’s Facebook, tilting the rumour scale back in its favour.
The image was posted by a user rather than Motorola itself. It was quickly pulled down but not before an AndroidPolice source could save it along with a screenshot of the Facebook post itself. It shows a white Moto E next to the Moto G in black.
The Moto E appears to have corners that are even more rounded than those of the Moto G. The devices are about the same size and the Moto E’s display is nearly the same size as that of the Moto G although the bezels appear to be larger. The image also appears to confirm that the Moto E will not have a front-facing camera but could have a front-facing speaker at the bottom.
