When Microsoft unveiled its new Microsoft Lumia branding, it promised to unveil a a Microsoft Lumia device “soon.” It delivered on its promise today with the Microsoft Lumia 535, described as a “5x5x5” smartphone because of its 5-inch display and 5MP front- and rear-facing cameras. As you would expect, the Nokia branding is gone in favour of a Microsoft logo both at the front and the rear.
The Microsoft Lumia 535 is another entry-level device. With a launch focused on emerging markets, it’s clear that Microsoft is aiming this device on the low-end of the market where it has met with some success.

The Microsoft Lumia 535 will launch later this month starting in China, Hong Kong and Bangladesh. “Other countries” will follow sometime later. It will sell for 110 (about CA$155).
