It’s turning out to be a BlackBerry kind of day! When it announced its Q1 FY2015 financial results earlier today, BlackBerry confirmed plans to bring the BlackBerry Z3 to eight additional countries. We know that it will launch next week in India and it should follow sometime later in the Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam. Now comes word via @BlackberryScoop that it will also make its way to North America before the end of the year. Unlike the current version, this one will come with 4G LTE connectivity.

The BlackBerry Z3 is the company’s latest entry-level device and the first to come out of its new partnership with Foxconn. With BlackBerry focusing on higher-end devices such as the upcoming BlackBerry Passport and BlackBerry Classic, it makes sense to bring the Z3 to North America as an entry-level alternative. Whereas the other two are more likely to be aimed at busines and enterprise customers, the BlackBerry Z3 will likely be aimed at the consumer segment.
There is no word yet on specific availability, carriers and pricing for the LTE BlackBerry Z3. We expect it could sell for as low as free with a two-year contract.
Would you pick up an LTE BlackBerry Z3 if it landed in Canada or the U.S.? Let us know below.
Am looking forward to the Classic
