We already expect that the LG G3 will launch in Canada with both Bell Mobility and Rogers Wireless. It now looks like we can add a third carrier to the list. According to a tip we received today, Quebec’s Videotron is also confirmed to offer the LG G3.
Unlike Bell and Rogers which will carry the LG-D852, Videotron will carry the LG-D852G. The two devices are almost the same specifications. The only difference is in the cellular bands they support. The LG-D852G model supports a single LTE band but adds support for the 1700MHz WCDMA band that Videotron uses.
There is no word on when Videotron could launch the LG G3 and how much it will sell it for. It generally does so after the larger national carriers though. Look for a launch sometime this summer though.
While our tipster was quite sure that Bell, Rogers and Videotron have all committed to the LG G3, they were not able to confirm the same for TELUS Mobility. LG carried the LG G2 so there is a good chance that it will also carry the G3.
Stay tuned!
Thanks tipster!
