LG provided few launch details earlier this week when it finally unveiled the LG G3. A number of U.S. carriers were quick to put up pre-registration pages and even run contests but it’s quiet a far quieter affair here in Canada. It’s a near certainty that at least a few Canadian carriers will offer LG’s latest flagship smartphone but which has been a bit of a mystery so far. But it now looks like we have at least two carriers on board.
We learned last week that the Canadian variant of the LG G3 would carry model numbers LG-D852 and LG-D852. The former was very similar to the better known LG-D850 which is AT&T-bound with the key difference that it not support LTE CA (carrier aggregation). The latter comes with more limited LTE support.
Details uncovered by MyLGPhones on LG’s own website suggest that both Bell Mobility and Rogers Wireless will carry the LG-D852 model. It also expects that other Canadian carriers, including SaskTel, TELUS, Videotron and WIND Mobile will also carry the LG G3.
There is no word on availability and pricing yet.
