LG Canada today announced that the LG G3 will make its Canadian debut on August 1. It will be the first WQHD smartphone to launch in Canada. LG also revealed that the LG G3 will be available from Bell Mobility, MTS, Rogers Wireless, Sasktel and Videotron on that day.

As we reported, the Canadian version of the LG G3 comes with support for LTE on AWS and works on both the 700MHz and 2600MHz bands. The Canadian version is also the one sporting 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
The LG G3 also comes with a number of advanced Smart Security features, including:
- Kill Switch – In the event of smartphone theft, G3 owners can disable their phones remotely, wiping all personal information from the G3.
- Knock Code – Merging security and convenience, create a customized knock pattern to unlock the device with a combination of three to eight taps.
- Content Lock – Keep personal files safe and hidden when sharing the G3 with friends, by locking files on either the G3’s internal memory or microSD card.
LG Canada did not announce pricing. That information will come from the individual carriers instead.
We also expect that WIND Mobile will offer the LG G3. It is likely that it will launch sometime later though.
The LG G3 will also be available through national retailers Tbooth wireless, The Source, WIRELESSWAVE, WIRELESS etc…, and WOW mobile.
