LG began to roll out LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrades in early November. The deployment began in Poland presumably so that the company could use a smaller market to ensure that there were no last minute surprises before it began to expand the rollout. It then began to roll out the upgrade in its home country of South Korea.
Calling the upgrade a top priority” for the company, LG also promised that other key markets would follow “in the near future.” A tweet earlier this week by LG Canada has now given us a better idea of what that means for Canada. For better or worse, it looks like Canadians will need to wait until “early 2015” to see the upgrade.
@rattlesomecages Hi there. Keep an eye out for early 2015 for the G3 Lollipop upgrade!

No reason was provided as to why there is such a long lead time between the rollout’s kickoff in early November to when Canada will see the upgrade. It is possible though that carrier certification has a role to play in this.
We’ll let you know as soon as the LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade arrives in Canada.
