LG this week announced three new tablets would soon join the LG G Pad 8.3 in the growing G Pad tablet family. Ranging in size from a 7.0-inch model to a 10.1-inch one, LG did not provide many details on specifications, promising only that details would be coming “in the coming weeks.” Fortunately, it appears to have popped up on the AnTuTu benchmarking website as the LG-V400 and giving us a few details as to what we can expect when LG makes specifications official.
Billed as an “on-the-go entertainment hub that delivers both portability and power” when it was announced, the early details suggest more of an entry-level entry than a device that will shake up the crowded 7-inch tablet market.
Rumoured LG G Pad 7.0 (LG-V400) specifications:
- Processor: Quad-core (1.2GHz × 4) Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226)
- Operating system: Google Android 4.4.2 KitKat
- Display: 7.0-inch WXGA (1280×800)
- RAM: 1GB
- Internal storage: 8GB
- Rear-facing camera: 3.2MP
- Front-facing camera: 1.3MP
There is still no word on when LG will provide availability and pricing details for any of the new LG G Pad tablets. With the older LG G Pad 8.3 sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, 2GB of RAM and a 8.3-inch WUXGA display, let’s hope that the LG G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1 come with more impressive specifications.
