LG promised to expand the availability of its first flexible display smartphone beyond its home country of South Korea in late 2013. It began to deliver on that promise with the launch of the LG G Flex in Singapore and Hong Kong in late December. Meanwhile, rumours that hinted at a launch in the U.S. got a boost today courtesy of the usually reliable @evleaks. It now appears that the LG G Flex will land on at least two U.S. carriers, AT&T and T-Mobile.
According to the tweet, AT&T will receive the LG-D950 model while the LG-D959 is headed to T-Mobile USA. Cosmetically they appear to be very much the same device. Differences under the hood can be expected to be mainly around antenna configuration.

It remains to be seen if the LG G Flex will also launch with Sprint. Earlier rumours had Sprint offering up the LG-LS995. We’ll have to see if Sprint is simply launching it later than the other two carriers or has decided to pass on it.
Now if we could only get word from LG Canada that the LG G Flex will make its way here as well…
There is no word on availability and pricing yet but there is a small trade show taking place next week called CES 2014 that could help shed some light on these details.
