While we’ve known since last week that Sony Mobile will hold a press event on September 3 as part of IFA 2014, we have only been able to guess as to what it plans to announce. A leaked invitation obtained by XperiaBlog has given us additional clues as to what is on tap.
The Sony IFA 2014 invitation features a number of product shots and effectively confirms that new Xperia smartphones will be unveiled alongside new accessories including a new lens-style camera that will likely succeed last year’s Cyber-shot QX100 and QX10 models. An all-in-one (or is it a monitor or even a television?) could also be announced. While the image shows no wearables, there have been rumblings that Sony could unveil a new smartwatch and perhaps other wearables.
Among the smartphones will likely be the Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact as flagship devices for the holiday shopping season. Perhaps Sony will also unveil a new Xperia Z3 Tablet to go along with its new smartphones.
The Sony IFA 2014 press event will run from 1615 to 1700 CEST (1015 to 1100 EDT) on September 3.
