Most of the rumours about the next iPhone have so far focused on the size of its display. Most have so far pointed to a 4.7- or 4.8-inch display. Now comes word about some other key Apple iPhone 6 specifications. The new details are provided by @SonnyDickson who has in the past made other accurate revelations.
In a series of tweets, Dickson reveals that the Apple iPhone 6 will come with an Apple A8 processor running at 2.6GHz (no word on the number of cores) and an “Ultra-Retina” display offering 389PPI. It may also be incredibly thin, measuring perhaps only 0.22 inches (5.59 millimeters). He also teasingly adds, “These specs could be the real thing, in a separate tweet, suggesting that these could still change before the iPhone 6 is officially unveiled.

In comparison, the Apple iPhone 5S, already a very thin device, is 0.30 inches thick (6.7 millimeters). Its 4-inch display offers a resolution of 1136 by 640 pixels, good enough for 326PPI. As for its A7 processor, it is clocked at 1.4GHz.
On his website, Dickson has posted a few images of what could be the iPhone 6’s rear casing in Space Grey. It does appear to be quite thin but it remains to be seen if it will really be only 5.59 millimeters thick.
Separate rumours most recently suggest that the iPhone 6 will launch in the September timeframe. It could be accompanied by a larger 5.7-inch phablet although this latter device may also launch sooner. Both are expected to run iOS 8.
We’ll see if future rumours and leaks can corroborate this information.
