Jason Mackenzie, president of HTC Americas. reminded HTC One (M7) owners in Canada and the U.S. viat Twitter about a week ago that the update to HTC Sense 6 would be pushed out to them by the end of May. Much as it did with its Android 4.4 update, HTC has now posted status pages on its website to make it easy for owners in both countries to check on HTC’s progress towards rolling out that Sense 6 update to them.
HTC is focused on providing timely software updates for both HTC Sense™ innovation and major Google Android™ releases. In an effort to bring transparency to this process, we will be marking the steps of preparation and our progress, by device and carrier.
As it stands today, all versions of the HTC One in Canada as well as the HTC One mini carried by Rogers Wireless have reached Integration, the third stage of a five stage process. The next two steps will be certification and the actual rollout. In the U.S., progress is very similar with all versions of the HTC One as well as the HTC One max and HTC one mini have reached the integration stage except for the T-Mobile HTC One (M7) version which is still in Development.
Going forward, it will be easy to check on the status of the Sense 6 update to see how it is progressing.
