The same team that last year released an Apple iPhone 5S introduction parody video is back. Led by YouTube comedian Matthias, the team introduces one of Apple’s most anticipated products, the iWatch.
Bill, Somewhat CEO, is back to introduce the product that will help answer that time immemorial question: “What time is it?” The iWatch, the company’s latest “magical product” lets you not only check the time but alerts as well. And in true Apple fashion, that’s only the tip of the iceberg. The iWatch also lets you respond to text messages using the watch’s keyboard, read ebooks and even play games thanks to its iSync technology which Apple “took much further than it needs to go.” And it all comes with a battery life that will last “one entire hour standby.”
And “one more thing:” a built-in GPS pedometer that livestreams your location to the NSA.
The video certainly succeeds in raising an important question (which many of us have already wondered): Do we really need smartwatches?
It is unlikely that Apple will unveil the iWatch at next week’s WWDC. Its launch is expected to take place in the fall. But hints and clues may surface in some of the other announcements that Apple makes at the event.
