You can now add Huawei to the list of smartphone manufacturers scheduled to make announcements at IFA 2014. While Sony Mobile and Samsung will hold their events on September 3, Huawei will hold its own on September 4.
As is so often the case, the Huawei IFA 2014 invitation reveals little but does promise “an exciting announcement.”
Past rumours suggest that it could announce the Ascend Mate 3, its latest phablet entry. Key specifications could include an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 920 processor, LTE connectivity, a 6-inch Full HD (1080×1920) display, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera for the ever-present selfies.
With Huawei looking to develop its brand in Canada, perhaps we’ll hear some details about plans to bring more devices to North America as well.
