None other than the now retired @evleaks revealed that the oft-rumoured Google Nexus 9 being built by HTC was known, among other many other nicknames, as the HTC T1. Now comes a possible release date courtesy of @upleaks, a relatively new leaker from China. In a recent tweet, he indicates that HTC will release the HTC T1 “before Oct. 9.”

A further tweet reveals that there will be three variants:
- Model 0P82100 better known as the T1#F or the Flounder
- Model 0P82200 with LTE for the U.S. market
- Model 0P82300 with LTE for international markets
All three models are familiar to us. They most recently popped up on the Wi-Fi certification for the HTC -built tablet.
Just yesterday we got word that the Google Nexus X smartphone would launch around Halloween. Assuming that both rumours are accurate, it appears that Android L (Lemon Meringue Pie?) will launch by early October with only the Nexus 9 tablet initially available. The Google Nexus X (or Google Nexus 6) smartphone looks set to follow shortly after.
As for specifications, the latest rumour (also courtesy of @upleaks) suggests that the HTC T1 will come with a 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, Android L, an Intel MDM9x25 model on the LTE model, 4GB of RAM, GPS, NFC, an 8MP camera with Sony IMX219 sensor and a front 1.6MP camera.
