As we reported on Friday, the HTC Sense 6 update for the HTC One (M7) began to roll out in Canada today. We’ve received reports (thanks, everyone!) that notifications began to pop up a few hours ago. It sports build number 5.11.661.8 and weighs in just under 700MB (definitely a candidate for a download over Wi-Fi).
Continuing its commitment to customers and providing timely software updates, HTC Canada is starting to roll out Sense™ 6 to HTC One (M7) users on May 12th. This update is another way HTC offers premium user experiences with HTC devices.
HTC Sense 6 comes with a number of improvements for the HTC One (M7). Both the Gallery and Camera app have been updated with a new interface and new editing features, a new Extreme Power Saving mode has been added, colour coded themes promise to make for easier navigation and Blinkfeed gets new content sources as well as interface tweaks such as smooth and continuous scrolling.
We’ve received confirmation that the update is rolling out to both Rogers and TELUS devices so far. Updates for other carriers should be right behind if they have not already started.
If you have not yet received an update notification, you can check for one manually. To do so, trigger a check via Settings -> About phone -> System Updates -> Check now.
