HTC has yet to launch the HTC M8 that we’ve already learned that it plans to follow it up with the HTC M8 Mini. The two images, tweeted by @HTCFamily_RU, do not specifically identify it as the HTC M8 Mini but there are a few hints that it is the diminutive sibling rather than the HTC M8 itself.
The images reconfirm a few details we expect from the HTC M8. They show a double LED flash on the back and effectively confirm that HTC is moving to on-screen buttons for its latest flagship smartphones although the HTC appears set to remain on the front. The matte finish also appears to be making way for a shinier one.
The key sign suggesting that this is the HTC M8 Mini rather than the HTC M8 itself is the much shorter speaker grill.
The legitimacy of the pictures is supported by @shen_ye, an active member of xda-developers. But he only confirms that they are legitimate without confirming that it is the HTC M8 Mini.

A previous rumour indicated that the HTC M8 Mini would come with a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Google Android 4.4.2 KitKat with HTC Sense 6.0, a 4.5-inch HD (720×1280) display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, support for microSD cards, a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
