Much as it did last year with the HTC One, there have been rumours that HTC would again release two variants of its new flagship, the HTC One (M8). The two would be a smaller mini model and a larger Max. An image surfaced online today courtesy of the prolific and reliable @evleaks that may be one of these two variants. Identified as the HTC M8 Ace, it showed up in sporting a red coat with its user interface blurred out (although suggestive of the latest version of BlinkFeed).
No specifications or additional details are provided, making the HTC M8 Ace a bit of a mystery. Is it smaller or larger than the HTC One (M8)? Fortunately, the Android And Me team realized that the HTC logo appeared to be the same size as that on last year’s HTC one devices. Out came Photoshop and here is the result of their work:
If their assumption is correct, it does appear that the HTC M8 Ace will be none other than the new mini model. Slightly larger than last year’s HTC One mini, it appears that this year’s model could sport a slightly larger 4.5-inch display.
While there is no information as to when the HTC M8 Ace will launch, the HTC One (M8) is set to hit markets including Canada later this week (if you don’t already have it because you ordered it online ).
