The first pictures of the upcoming OnePlus One smartphone surfaced online earlier today. Unfortunately, they don’t quite show us the device. Instead, these OnePlus One pictures reveal several of the components that will go into making it.
Revealed are the display (5.5-inch expected), a camera module, the back casing and the motherboard. A closer look at the last one reveals that it is branded “Designed by ONEPLUS.”
OnePlus will formally unveil the OnePlus One next week on April 23. Leading up to the event, it has revealed many details about the specifications and just yesterday finished revealing the 16 countries in which it will launch. Among them will be Canada and the U.S.
As for specifications, here is what we already know:
- Processor: 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801
- Operating system: CyanogenMOD 11S (based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat)
- Cellular connectivity: Global LTE (GSM only)
- Display: 5.5-inch Full HD (1080×1920)
- RAM: 3GB
- Internal storage: 16GB/64GB
- Rear-facing camera: 13MP with Sony Exmor IMX214 6-Lens
- Front-facing camera: 5MP
- Battery: Non-removeable 3,100mAh
- Other: Stereo speakers, StyleSwap covers, 2 year CyanogenMod support
The OnePlus One will sell for under US$400 (about CA$440) when it launches.
