Geeksphone has already revealed much about its upcoming Geeksphone Revolution smartphone including some specification details and its looks. With its newly redesigned website, it has now shed more light on both the device itself and the Geeksphone MultiOS technology that will allow it to switch between Android and Firefox OS. In fact, the Revolution will be able to support Android and a “Boot2Gecko by Mozilla” option as the company now calls its Firefox OS option as well as any other “community-supported flavor of an OS.”
Based on the description provided, it now appears that the phone will always boot into Android. From there, it will be possible to switch to Gecko or another operating system. While it may not be as user-friendly as a dual-boot option, it does appear that it will provide developers (the phone’s main audience) more flexibility when it comes to supported operating systems.
