An alleged image and a render of the Nokia Lumia 830 surfaced earlier this month to give us our first glimpse at what could be one of three new Microsoft smartphones coming fairly soon. These inspsired Jonas Daehnert, better known as Phone Designer, to come up with some concept images of what appears to be the Nokia Lumia 820’s successor.
The Lumia 830 could be among the thinnest Lumia smartphones yet, perhaps no more than 8.5 millimeters thick. The render and image showed it coming with a 13MP PureView Camera with Zeiss lens and single flash but other specifications are still unknown at this point. The back appears to retain the polycarbonate material that Nokia has used for so many Lumia devices but the sides are made of metal. It’s very similar to the Lumia 930 in that aspect.
With the trend towards larger smartphone displays, it is likely that the Lumia 830 will sport a larger and higher resolution display than the 4.3-inch ClearBlack OLED WVGA (800×480) one found on the Lumia 820. The Lumia 930 sports a 5-inch Full HD (1080×1920/441PPI) ClearBlack OLED display so the Lumia 830 could end up with a 4.5- or 4.7-inch HD (720×1280) display.
If that recent Lumia smartphone roadmap is legitimate and accurate, Microsoft could announce the Lumia 830 as early as mid- to late August.
