Motorola first announced its rollout of the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the Moto G (as well as the Moto E and DROID Ultra) back in early July. It has since then been making its way across the world and this week finally landed in Canada. The latest version of Android was rushed shortly after Android 4.4.3 to address some security issues.
The update also includes all the changes made in Android 4.4.3, including improvements to the camera and power management.
Both the unlocked and carrier versions of the Moto G are getting updated to Android 4.4.4. A similar update for the Moto G with 4G LTE is currently being tested and should follow shortly.
To manually check for the update on your device, select Settings -> About phone (or About Tablet) -> System Updates -> Check now.
