HTC has updated its HTC Software Updates schedule webpage with good news for Canadian owners of the HTC One. It shows that Canadian carriers are currently going through their certification process in preparation for a future rollout. Bell, Rogers, TELUS, SaskTel, Virgin and WIND Mobile are all listed as being at the ‘Certification’ stage, the last before the ‘Push to customer’ stage that we all care about.
Missing from HTC’s update are any dates as to when we can expect the update to begin rolling out. Rogers Wireless lists it as coming in “Late January 2014” on its own OS Upgrades forum page (something we already reported a few days back). Other carriers have yet to provide any ETA.
If nothing else, this latest update confirms that the upgrade is coming soon to Canadian devices.
The HTC One mini Android 4.4 update, which Rogers lists as coming in “Late February 2014” is also shown by HTC as currently undergoing certification.
