As expected, BlackBerry is expanding availability of the BlackBerry Z3 beyond Indonesia. In a series of announcements this week, BlackBerry has revealed that the BlackBerry Z3 will go on sale in Malaysia, India and the Middle East this summer.
BlackBerry kicked things off yesterday with a launch event in Malaysia. The BlackBerry Z3 will go on sale there for MYR699 (about CA$230) on July 7 through BlackBerry’s authorized partners. Much as it did in Indonesia, it will come with some local content including a special set of BBM Stickers and BBM Channels featuring local characters, Upin and Ipin.
Earlier today, a second launch event was held in India ahead of the BlackBerry Z3’s arrival there on July 2. It will sell for RS15,990 (about CA$285) and you can already pre-order it through the Mobile Store, Flipkart and BlackBerry exclusive stores.
BlackBerry also announced that the BlackBerry Z3 will launch in a number of countries in the Middle East. Both the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will see it in July with availability in Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait to follow later this summer. Pre-orders can already be placed in the UAE through the BlackBerry Store in the Dubai Mall.
