After rumours surfaced earlier this week that BlackBerry would release a white version of the upcoming BlackBerry Passport, the company today confirmed that this is indeed correct.
Designers of the BlackBerry Passport also explained that this exact shade of white is custom to BlackBerry and is designed to “work with the warmth of the unique, stainless steel frame.” The rear cover comes with a ‘porcelain feel’ coating that is both smooth to the touch and able to provide grip.
BlackBerry has gradually been revealing details about the new BlackBerry Passport ahead of its launch. It’s already given us a glimpse of its touch-enabled keyboard and the square 4.5-inch Full HD-class (1,440×1,440) display. Other specifications have not been announced but are rumoured to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, BlackBerry 10 (10.3 likely), 3GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and a non-removeable 3,450mAh battery.
You can expect the BlackBerry Passport in white to launch alongside the black one in September. Pricing has not been announced yet.
