Apple released a new update for iOS 7 today. iOS 7.1.2 is a relatively minor update that does not include any new functionality but fixes a number of bugs, including a security issue affecting email attachments.
- Improves iBeacon connectivity and stability
- Fixes a bug with data transfer for some third-party accessories, including bar code scanners
- Corrects an issue with data protection class of Mail attachments
To check and download the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update and select ‘Download and Install’ once you are prompted that it is available. You can also download the update via iTunes.
The iOS 7.1.2 update weighs in just over 30MB and is available for the latest iPhones and iPad tablets.
