In what is now turning out to be a regular occurrence, the prolific and usually reliable @evleaks today tweeted a new list of Nokia device codenames. In all, some eight devices appear to be in development. While some will be smartphones and others tablets, the list could also hold a mix of new Lumia, Nokia X follow-up and Asha devices.
Here are the Nokia codenames to watch for over the next few months: Ara, Leo, Moonraker, Onyx, Peridot, Superman, Tesla, and Vantage. It appears that the James Bond theme has not quite run its course yet.
There is no information to to with these codenames yet but that may change sooner than later. It’s also worth keeping in mind that not all will necessarily end up as devices that will hit the market though.

One name not on this list but still apparently coming is a new flagship device codenamed Goldfinger. The mysterious device could sport some kind of 3D touch technology (similar to Amazon’s upcoming smartphone?). If nothing else, it does suggest that there can be long lead times between the time we first hear a codename and the final device launches.
We’ll certainly keep our eyes and ears open for further mentions of these Nokia device codenames.
