With the growing number of Moto X+1 rumours, you’d think that Motorola was ready to put the venerable Moto X out to pasture but it appears that the company may have other plans instead. Russia’s Mobiltelefon.ru managed to find a 64GB version of the Moto X lurking somewhere on the MotoMaker website. The report was also confirmed by PhoneArena, adding that the 64GB Moto X was headed to Sprint Wireless.
The image shows that the 64GB Moto X will sell for US$449.99, or US$50 more than the 32GB model and US$100 more than the 16GB model. If nothing else, the additional memory might give the Moto X a new (brief?) lease on life as it nears the end of its life expectancy with the Moto X+1 set to take over.
There are no details as to when Motorola might announce the 64GB Moto X and whether it will be available at more U.S. carriers than Sprint Wireless and elsewhere in the world.
As for the upcoming Moto X+1, it has popped up several times on the MotoMaker website but details about its specifications remain elusive. It is expected to be announced sometime this summer.
