Samsung Display’s latest concept video gives us a glimpse as to the world the company sees in the near future. Unsurprisingly, the video, called ‘Display Centric World’ reveals a vision where interactive displays are ubiquitous. First shown off at its Analyst Day 2013 back in early November, it once again shows the promise of bendable and flexible displays.
Samsung Display sees a world where its displays are pervasive. From interactive mugs capable of running quick health checks thanks to displays with integrated sensors to wall displays, the company predicts that any glass surface will become an interactive display. Everything from the windows in your car to those in cafés will become interactive surfaces. Even school blackboards will make way to displays that can be interacted with on both sides. No display is too small or too large not to be able to display some kind of information.
We may still be a few years away from such a vision but the proliferation of TV screens everywhere suggests that it is only a matter of time before we look back at this video as an accurate prediction of what will have become reality.
