Bell is on a roll today. Along the BlackBerry Z30, it today launched two new Sony devices. The Sony Xperia Z1 will be making its way onto other carriers but Bell will be the exclusive Canadian carrier for the Xperia Z Ultra phablet.
The Sony Xperia Z Ultra comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD (1080×1920) TRILUMINOS display as well as a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Google Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (with Android 4.3 on the way), LTE connectivity, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and a 3,000mAh battery. Like other recent high-end Sony Xperia devices, it is both dust and waterproof.
The Xperia Z1 shares many specifications with the Xperia Z Ultra comes with a smaller 5.0-inch Full HD (1080×1920) TRILUMINOS display and a 20.7MP camera with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS CMOS sensor and G-Lens (f/2.0 aperture and 27mm wide angle).
Bell is offering the Sony Xperia Z1 in black or white for CA$199.95 with a two-year contract or CA$699.95 outright. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra will be slightly more expensive going for CA$249.95 with a two-year contract or CA$799.95 outright.
Sony will also carry unlocked versions of the Xperia Z1 for CA$699.99 and the Xperia Z Ultra for CA$749.99 at its Sony Store online store and retail locations.
