Nokia World 2013 could well be the last such event with Microsoft set to acquire Nokia’s handset business and it appears that Nokia could go out in a blaze of devices. The Verge has learned that as many as six new devices, including two new Lumias, could be unveiled at the Abu Dhabi event on October 22. A number of accessories are also on tap and one is described as “pretty special.”
While there are no specific details about devices, the expectation is that the Lumia devices will be the 6-inch Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet (Nokia Bandit) and the Windows RT 8.1 Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet (Nokia Sirius). Another possibility could be the Verizon-bound Lumia 929 although that appears less likely if only two Lumia devices are to be unveiled. The other devices could be new Asha handsets.
