Samsung took to Twitter today to announce that it will unveil a new Exynos 5 Octa processor next week. As you would expect from a teaser, little information is revealed with Samsung only promising that the new processor will be “more powerful.”
“Year after year, we strive to improve the power and performance of our Exynos processors.
Now it’s the time for the next step in our evolution – a more powerful, enhanced Exynos 5 Octa!”
Samsung will also give users a chance to win some Exynos-powered devices in a #ExynosEvolved Twitter giveaway that will start after the announcement.
Samsung first unveiled the Exynos Octa 5 processor earlier this year and it can now be found in the Samsung Galaxy S4. Using a Big.Little architecture, it comes with four powerful Cortex-A15 cores for more demanding tasks and four Cortex-A7 cores that handle lighter tasks.
Could the new Samsung Exynos 5 Octa make its way into the upcoming Galaxy Note III?
