Just days after Samsung shipped the SM-N7005 to its Indian R&D centre, India’s Zauba shipment tracking database has revealed that it has also shipped the SM-G900F there as well. The manifest shows that 3 such devices landed in India on December 2 for the usual “R & D purpose.” Unlike previous entries, this one reveals little else, not even a display size.
With little information on hand, let’s conjecture a bit. Just yesterday, the SM-G900S turned up in GFXBench benchmarks. Impressive specifications such as a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 800 processor and a WQHD (2560×1440) display led to speculation that this could be the Samsung Galaxy S5. Now throw in the rumour that Samsung is planning a premium version of its flagship version with a metal unibody design and a 5-inch flexible display. If the SM-G900S is the Galaxy S5, could the SM-G900F be this higher-end version Galaxy F5?
It’s a lot of conjecture but the fact that these rumours surface regularly suggests that there is at least a grain of truth to them. Whether this means that Google will unveil the next Galaxy S flagship as both the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy F5 remains to be seen.
Feel free to chime in below with your own interpretation of what the SM-G900F could be.
