A rumour earlier this week suggested that we could see the Samsung Galaxy S5 as early as January 2014. While we have yet to see any leaked pictures, Tobias Hornof took it upon himself to come up with a concept of what the next Samsung flagship smartphone could look like. In doing so, he’s incorporated a number of rumours about the device.
The concept builds on the history of the Galaxy S devices and adds to it a number of features we could expect from the next device in that lineup. The display sports very thin bezels, allowing for a larger display in a device about the same size as the Galaxy S4. Perhaps more unlikely though is that Hornof sees Samsung finally doing away with the physical home button, a distinctive characteristic of previous Galaxy S devices, in favour of a capacitive one. It looks quite slim and appears to feature a metal unibody design.
As for specifications, this concept device would be powered by a a 64-bit processor and Google Android 4.4. It would come with either 32 or 64GB of onboard storage, a 16MP rear camera with OIS and dual-LED flash, a 8MP front camera. It would also sport a fingerprint sensor.
