Word is coming today from Canadian Samsung Galaxy S III owners that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is rolling out. Available both OTA (Over-The-Air) and through Samsung’s Kies software, it updates the operating system to version MVLDMF1.
Aside from the OS version upgrade, it also includes improvements to Samsung’s multi-window and Google Play among others. A leaked internal document also indicates additional changes:
- Improved download speeds when HSPA+ network coverage.
- Proactively addresses instances where third party VoIP apps could interfere when dialing E911
The update is available for a number of carriers including Bell, Fido, Koodo, MTS, Rogers and TELUS.
