It appears that the Samsung’s Galaxy Mega family of phablets are coming to Canada. First came word that Bell Mobility could launch the Mega 6.3. Now comes word via a leaked internal document obtained by MobileSyrup that Rogers Wireless will also offer a Mega phablet.
It is not immediately clear which model, the Mega 6.3 or the Mega 5.8, Rogers could carry as the document refers to the device only as the Samsung Galaxy Mega and indicates that the display measures 4.8-inch. Given that it will be an LTE-enabled device, it is likelier to be the Mega 6.3 as the Mega 5.8 was originally announced with HSPA+ 21/5.76Mbps connectivity.
The document suggests that Rogers will launch the Samsung Galaxy Mega in September. There are no pricing details yet but the document promises an “affordable price.”
If you cannot wait until then, it also appears that Rogers will launch the Sony Xperia SP with a “small” 4.6-inch display sometime this month.
If that’s not enough, you can also catch a tantalizing glimpse at the Moto X also supposed to be coming to Rogers.
Rogers’ smartphone lineup for the fall is shaping up to be quite interesting.
