The BlackBerry Z30 will be the first BlackBerry 10 device to ship with version 10.2 of BlackBerry’s new operating system. BlackBerry has already confirmed that its other BlackBerry 10 devices, namely the BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry Q10 and BlackBerry Q5, will also receive the update.
Rogers has updated its OS Upgrades schedule and it now lists the BlackBerry 10.2 as coming in ‘Late October.’ As is so often the case, the dates are “subject to change” though.
BlackBerry 10.2 comes with “hundreds of refinements plus many new features that help you be more productive.” Among these is an improved BlackBerry Hub including a Priority Hub for those important notifications, improved BBM Groups Hub support, instant BBM previews and improved lock screen notifications.
The Rogers timetable is only slightly delayed from BlackBerry’s own which pegs upgrades as starting at mid-October.
