Like its cousin south of the border, Best Buy Canada along with Future Shop will soon be carrying the Pebble smartwatch. It will be available for pre-order starting on Friday, October 25 for CA$149.99 with shipments to begin in mid-November.

The Pebble, which got ts start as a hugely successful Kickstarter project, comes with a 1.26-inch e-paper display. It is waterproof to 5 ATM and its battery is good for about 7 days. It also has a backlight that can be activated by flicking your wrist.
As you would expect from a smartwatch, the Pebble will notify users of incoming calls, emails, and text messages. It is compatible with both iOS and Android devices with Android currently offering a bit more functionality. For example, on Android, it also supports notifications from additional apps such as Facebook and Google Hangouts.
The Pebble also has a growing selection of apps. There are now over 1,000 apps also available for it, ranging from simple customizable watchfaces to fitness and music apps.
The Pebble will be available for pre-order from both Future Shop and Best Buy Canada for CA$149.99 on October 25. It will begin to ship in mid-November.
