NVIDIA rolling out Tegra Note 7 Android 4.3 upgrade

NVIDIA took matters into its own hands to demonstrate the power of its Tegra 4 SoC by launching the Tegra NOTE 7 reference design. It is now available from a number of partners. For all those who picked up from partners such as ADVENT, EVGA, ADVENT, Gigabyte and XOLO, there is good news today in the form of the first over-the-air update.

The NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 Android 4.3 update includes a number of new features and capabilities as well as an upgrade to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Among the new features are:

  • Updated Tegra NOTE Stylus with improved response and left-handed stylus support
  • Always-on high-dynamic range (AOHDR) capability added to camera
  • Video stabilization
  • Ability to transfer app and data files from internal memory to external microSD cards
  • Full-screen capture now captures the notification bar
  • Security and bug fixes

The Tegra Note 7 Android 4.3 update is now rolling out to the Tegra Note 7 provided by Tegra NOTE 7 tablet from EVGA, ADVENT, Gigabyte, PNY, Shenzhen Homecare Technology, ZOTAC and XOLO.

In Canada, the Tegra Note 7 is available from a number of retailers including

NVIDIA did not provide any details as to an upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat with today’s announcement.
