It appears that Nokia is not quite done with product announcements for this year. Two independent rumours suggest that the entry-level Nokia Lumia 525 smartphone which had been expected at Nokia World will still make its debut before year’s end.
Rumoured Nokia Lumia 525 specifications
- Processor: 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400
- Operating system: Microsoft Windows Phone 8
- Cellular connectivity: HSPA+/EDGE
- Other connectivity: A-GPS, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0
- Display: 4-inch WVGA (480×800) IPS
- RAM: 1GB
- Internal storage: 8GB
- External storage: MicroSD cards up to 64GB

- Front-facing camera:
- Connectors: 3.5mm audio jack, micro-USB port
- Battery: 1,430mAh
- Dimensions: 119.9 × 64 × 9.9 millimeters

If these specifications turn out to be accurate, the Lumia 525 will be a relatively minor update to the Lumia 520. The key differences will be the slightly faster processor and 1GB of RAM (up from 512MB). The larger display hinted at by a previous rumour does not appear to be in the works according to these latest ones.
Perhaps more interesting is that the Nokia Lumia 525 could come with a music-oriented accessory known as the Nokia Guru. This appears to be a small media player that supports NFC. It could work with the Lumia 525 to manage music without having to pull the Lumia 525 out of the pocket. It could be marketed as a music-centric smartphone.
As further confirmation, the Nokia Lumia 525 also made an appearance on the TENAA website, China’s telecommunication equipment regulator.
There is no word yet on when Nokia could make its announcement. Pricing and availability details have also not surfaced yet.
