Rumours last week indicated that the Nokia Lumia 1020 with its 41MP PureView camera (the star of a recent ad) was coming to Canada courtesy of both Rogers and TELUS. Nokia Canada today confirmed the news with a tweet, adding that it will also be available through Black’s (which TELUS acquired back in 2009):

The image suggests that we might see the Lumia 1020 in yellow make its way to Canada, perhaps alongside the black version. Whether the white version makes it up here as well remains to be seen.
There is still no word on exactly when the Nokia Lumia 1020 will launch and for how much but an October launch was suggested by last week’s rumours. As for the price, based on the Lumia 1020’s price in the U.S. (US$299.99 with a two-year contract), we can expect it to be fairly expensive.
TELUS is also expected to launch the cheaper Nokia Lumia 625 which comes with a 4.7-inch WVGA (800×480/201PPI) display.
