Rumours continue to point to the ASUS K009 (ME571KL) being the next generation Google Nexus 7 tablet, possibly with the ASUS K008 (ME571K) alongside as the Wi-Fi only model. The K009 just got its FCC certification and has also popped up on the Bluetooth SIG website where we get a glimpse of the device and the following description:
This tablet features a 7” LED-backlit capacitive multitouch screen for easy carrying and fantastic multi-media experience everywhere. It is enpowered by Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600 Quad-core CPU with the highest performance. Wireless networking ensures simple connection to the Internet without wires.
The specification details also continue to clear up. The next Nexus 7 tablet looks set to come in three variants, the Wi-Fi only K008, the HSPA+ K009, and the LTE K009 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset with integrated LTE.

It’s possible that we will also see a 16GB variant. It’s less likely that we’ll see a 64GB one as well.
