New picture of Motorola DROID Ultra shows front and back

Rumoured Verizon DROID Ultra

We saw both the Verizon DROID MAXX and DROID Ultra already this weekend. We now have another picture courtesy of @evleaks of the DROID Ultra, this time showing us both the front and back.

As expected, the DROID Ultra looks very similar to the DROID MAXX. We can see the same capacitive buttons below the screen on the front and the power button and volume rocker on the right side. The back, sporting the familiar Kevlar cross-hatch, also sports a DROID logo under the camera, the Motorola logo near the center and the Verizon logo closer to the bottom.

The Verizon DROID Ultra is expected to be somewhat slimmer than the DROID MAXX. Shown here in black, we last saw it in white and it will also be available in red. As far as model numbers go, the black will be known as the XT1080, the white as the XT1080w and the red as the XT1080R.

The report adds that the DROID Ultra (and presumably the DROID MAXX) will sport a 10MP RGBC camera sensor. The C in RGBC is stands for a new sensor that should help with white balance and exposure. Could it be that “Clear Pixel” technology we heard about earlier?

While other specifications are still not known, the report also predicts that the DROID Ultra will sport a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a 5-inch (or so) FHD display and 2GB of RAM.

With a Motorola event reportedly planned for July 11th, all could be revealed very soon.
