Since being acquired by Google in mid-2012, it has been fairly quiet on the Motorola Mobility front. But it looks like things are about to change. Yesterday we caught wind of a potential marketing campaign that would say good-bye to the old Moto before welcoming the new one. Today, a new Motorola Mobility logo appeared on Techweek’s conference website. It just so happens that Motorola is a sponsor of the upcoming event.
The bright red logo that was introduced when Motorola split into Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions. The stylized M remains but the typeface has changed to an all-lowercase thinner one. The tagline “a Google company” has been added below the logo as well.
The Verge also managed to catch a slightly different version of the logo, suggesting we could see different shades of the logo:
Motorola’s rebranding comes ahead of its announcement later this year of the Motorola X Phone which was spotted in a new picture earlier today.
